Plaid Cymru’s Aneurin Minton scored a brilliant victory in the Penyrheol, Caerphilly, council by-election last night with Aneurin filling the vacancy left after Lindsay Whittle’s Senedd election.
Plaid Cymru 956 votes, Reform 422, Labour 114, Conservatives 66, Lib Dems 32, so Aneurin polled more than all the other parties put together.
Highlights again that it is a straight fight between Plaid and Reform UK at next May's Senedd elections.
